ONE-GAME ANNIHILATION WON'T CUT IT
Lately the Yankees have been boggling my brain a bit. Like a rollercoaster, the Bronx Bombers rise and drop more than the Cyclone in Coney Island. This past Sunday, the Yankees absolutely creamed the Mets with a 16-7 win, mostly due to A-Rod's Grand Slam homerun. Yesterday on the other hand, the Yankees suffered a magnanimous loss to the Indians who put on a fireworks display Tuesday night at Jacobs Field, celebrating the Fourth of July in style. Unfortunately for the Yankees, it was at their expense. Cleveland pounded New York, 19-1, in the second game of the four-game series. The Yanks need to get it together and spread out their offensive power -- peppering their strength over a couple of games. Blasting the hell out of a team in one game won't help the Bombers make it to the World Series. [source]
